EEC Minister for Energy and Infrastructure Arzybek Kozhoshev outlined joint transport priorities for the EAEU and CIS, noting that cooperation with CIS bodies is among the Union’s core international policy lines. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
He said aligned development of the two organisations’ transport and logistics systems is a competitive asset for Eurasia, with emphasis on synchronised Eurasian corridors and international routes crossing CIS territory, checkpoint upgrades and digital transformation.
Kozhoshev contrasted the CIS’s wider geographic reach with the EAEU’s deeper economic integration and legal framework, arguing that combined efforts should turn corridors into a seamless multimodal network where transport modes operate as one system.
Checkpoints received special attention: staged modernisation along international corridors should increase capacity and throughput in ways that benefit both the EAEU and the CIS.
Closing his remarks, he invited further cooperation at the EEC, stressing that transport remains a high-demand integration track and that the Commission is ready to work jointly on corridor development.
