The EEC Board has amended the rules for completing a goods declaration, adding cases where vehicle details may be entered in the document. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Under temporary periodic customs declaration, declarants may optionally state vehicle data at the departure point when they hold that information.
The update also covers transport intended to carry goods to the Union’s exit point before loading: previously only vehicles already loaded for intra-Union carriage could be declared.
EEC Minister for Customs Cooperation Sergey Shklyaev said the change addresses business difficulties with goods not yet loaded inside the EAEU and with exports to third countries, while filling the relevant fields remains optional and does not tighten existing rules for foreign trade participants.
Under Article 105(5) of the EAEU Customs Code the Commission sets declaration forms and completion rules; the current goods declaration procedure is established by Customs Union Commission Decision No. 257 of 20 May 2010.
