The EEC Board has revised the programme for developing interstate standards under the EAEU technical regulation on meat and meat products, updating timelines, work items and grounds for revising existing GOST standards. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Two completed projects were removed from the schedule after adoption of GOST 35098-2024 on boiled ham in casing for baby food and GOST 35280-2025 on meat pâtés for baby food.
New tasks include general specifications for liver sausages, a continuous-flow analysis (CFA) method for nitrites and nitrates in meat products, and a revision of GOST ISO 5553-2013 on detecting polyphosphates.
Deadlines were adjusted for standards on dispersion of meat products, detection of rice and wheat flour in baby food, and mercury determination by cold-vapour atomic absorption with pressurised sample mineralisation.
Wording was updated for raw beef, mutton and pork fat standards, grounds were added to revise GOST 18157-88 on slaughter product terms, and the programme now covers lard products and an immunoassay method for antibacterial residues in food and feed of animal origin.
The decision takes effect 30 calendar days after official publication.
