The EEC Board amended Board Decision No. 36 of 6 March 2018 and extended until 1 January 2030 the transitional provisions of the EAEU technical regulation on the safety of oil prepared for transport and/or use. The step is meant to avoid a shutdown of production at many fields: operators cannot always meet hydrogen sulphide limits because the Union market lacks enough safe scavengers.
