Talks focused on a draft cooperation memorandum the EEC had sent to African partners: the ECCAS side is ready to review it, propose amendments and, once aligned, agree on signing arrangements.

ECCAS’s own business association creates a channel for direct engagement with the EAEU Business Council. Nabigira stressed that integration needs workable tools that benefit the private sector rather than remaining an abstract concept.

Priority areas include transport and energy infrastructure, logistics corridors and digital technology. The EEC offered to share its experience of engagement mechanisms with third countries. Imanaliev highlighted the weight of EAEU–Central Africa trade ties and ECCAS’s role among African sub-regional bodies; both sides pledged to continue talks and build a practical agenda.
