The EEC Council has amended the EAEU technical regulation on pressure equipment, harmonising conformity assessment schemes and procedures. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The EEC drafted the update with member states. Certification and declaration rules now follow the standard schemes adopted by the Council, reflecting how the regulation is applied in practice.
A new declaration scheme 7d allows batch conformity declarations based on a valid type certificate.
Type-examination requirements are clarified and linked to downstream conformity documents. The Council also ordered aligned certificate and declaration forms and updates to the single register of conformity records.
The change is the first in a package of five linked TR updates; entry into force will be coordinated with amendments to regulations on low-voltage equipment, machinery, gas appliances and electromagnetic compatibility.
Unified procedures should ensure consistent application across the EAEU and comparable assessment outcomes. Work continues on a broader refresh of conformity schemes in Union technical regulations.
