Investigators say a 42-year-old Russian woman organized shipments by hiding banned substances in everyday items and handing them to courier services. She was detained.

Searches of cars in Moscow and the region yielded 3.9 kg concealed in candy packaging, stew tins, body scrubs and other containers. Tests found hashish and alpha-PVP.

Charges were brought under Article 229.1(4)(a)(b) of the Criminal Code, with a possible life sentence. Kyrgyz customs and police detained recipients in Bishkek; investigative steps continue.
